A ruched cutout maxi in yellow, the brightest, and the only one of the six that works properly in daylight. Ruching gathers through the waist and releases into the skirt, shaping the body with fabric rather than with boning, and the cutout sits exactly where the gathering stops — which is what makes the opening read as designed rather than as a gap. Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

These are general body measurement ranges used across the fashion industry, not measurements taken from our garments. Use them as a starting point.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
