A feather-trimmed chiffon mini in white, the lightest reading, where diamanté and cloth share a tone. Cut in chiffon, which is why a dress carrying both diamanté and feather trim still moves lightly instead of hanging heavy — the cloth is doing the work that makes the decoration wearable. Feather runs at the hem and cuff, diamanté across the body. Cut short so the feather sits where it will move most. Feather sheds in the first few wears; that settles. Shake it out before wearing and store it hanging with space around it.

Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
