Distressed cargo jeans in navy, darker than a standard wash and the most formal reading of a casual shape. Cargo pockets on denim change the line of the leg — they add width at the thigh, which balances a fitted top and is the reason to choose these over a plain jean. Distressing is applied rather than worn in, concentrated at the knee and hem. Denim moulds with wear, so if you are between sizes take the smaller one. Check the inseam on the product page; it varies by style.

⚠ Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
