A floral tweed midi in beige, warm and closer to a classic tweed reading, where the flowers are subtle at a distance. Tweed with a floral pattern woven in rather than printed on, so the flowers are part of the cloth and carry its texture. Tweed holds a shape without lining and does not drape, which is why this reads structured rather than soft. Midi length puts the hem between knee and ankle. This is a daytime dress first — lunches, races, spring weddings — and it works with flat shoes as readily as with heels.

Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
