A metallic pleated maxi in gold, which comes fully alive under evening light and sits near-neutral in daylight. Metallic pleating catches light along every fold and loses it in between, so the dress reads as alternating bands of bright and dark rather than as a single reflective surface. One shoulder covered sets a diagonal against the vertical pleats. Polyester holds the pleat line permanently — it will not drop out with wear. Floor length. For galas and formal evenings.

Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
