A deconstructed blazer in black, where the open construction reads most sharply against a single flat tone. Deconstructed tailoring — the shape of a blazer with parts of its construction deliberately left open or reworked, so it reads as a jacket that has been taken apart and put back differently. That is the point, and it is why this looks intentional rather than damaged. Wear it open over plain clothes; the detail needs somewhere quiet to sit. Size on the shoulder, since that is what cannot be adjusted.

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
