A lasercut floral jacket in black, where the cut flowers are the only light and the ground carries none. Lasercutting removes the flower shapes from the cloth rather than adding them to it, so the pattern is made of absence — light passes through where the flowers are. It only works on a fabric that will not fray at a cut edge, which is why the finish stays clean. Cut short. Wear it over a plain top so the cutouts show something behind them.

⚠ Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

These are general body measurement ranges used across the fashion industry, not measurements taken from our garments. Use them as a starting point.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
