A fur-collar cardigan in black, where the texture at the neck is the only thing happening and it is enough. A faux fur collar on a knitted cardigan does the work a scarf would, without the bulk at the neck or the constant readjusting. The fur is set into the collar rather than attached over it, so it sits flat when the cardigan is open. Wear it as the outer layer in mild weather or under a coat in cold. Shake the pile out before wearing; wash cool and dry flat.

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
