A floral lace two-piece in beige, close to the skin, where the lace reads as relief and shadow rather than as contrast. A blouse and full-length skirt cut as a pair, the floral lace running continuously between them when worn together. The blouse is the more useful half on its own — it works over tailored trousers as easily as with the skirt — while the skirt carries the length. Lace gives pattern and texture at once, so nothing further is applied. Both halves sized together. For garden receptions, daytime weddings and bridesmaid duty.

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
