A polka dot satin mini in pink, warm and openly playful — the dots read softest against it. Polka dots printed onto satin behave differently from dots on flat cloth — the sheen breaks across each one, so the pattern shifts as you move rather than sitting still. Cut short, which keeps the scale of the print in proportion. Satin creases where it folds; hang it rather than packing it. For parties, daytime events and evenings that started as afternoons.

Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
