An asymmetric cape maxi in yellow, the brightest of the four and considerably better in daylight than after dark. The cape falls from one shoulder only, so the asymmetry is built into how the dress moves rather than into a static line. A cutout sits opposite it, balancing the weight visually without matching it. That deliberate imbalance is the design. Floor length, no stretch. For galas and formal evenings where the dress should read differently coming and going.

⚠ Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
