A diamanté cutout gown in purple, rich enough to hold against black and the more striking of the two. Diamanté marks the edges of the cutout rather than scattering across the dress, which turns the opening into a designed feature instead of an absence of cloth. The cutout is engineered and holds its shape through an evening rather than gaping. Below it the skirt falls plain. Floor length, no stretch. For galas and formal evenings where one strong element does more than embellishment spread thin.

Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
