A knit top and shorts set in black, the more formal of the two and the easier to wear out. A knit top and matching shorts cut from the same yarn, which is what makes the set read as one piece rather than two. Knit holds close without compression, so the whole thing is comfortable enough to travel in. Split apart, the top works with jeans and the shorts with anything plain. Both halves sized together; order the same size in each.

Our cut runs relaxed — if you're between sizes, take the smaller one

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
