A sequin-embroidered strapless maxi in red, where the sequin florals catch light across a deep ground. Sequin is embroidered into floral shapes rather than scattered, so the light follows the pattern instead of covering the dress evenly — a more controlled effect than allover sequin and considerably easier to wear twice. The strapless neckline is boned to carry the weight. Floor length, no stretch. For galas, prom and formal evenings after dark.

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
