A pleated mesh maxi in mint, the palest of the three and the lightest in feeling. Pleated mesh, which is a lighter proposition than pleated cloth — the pleats hold their line but the fabric carries almost no weight, so the dress moves at the slightest provocation. Mesh is sheer where it is not layered, and the layering is what shapes the silhouette. Floor length. Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
