A knit maxi skirt in white, the sharper reading, where the gauge of the knit is fully visible. Knit at floor length usually drops under its own weight — this one is knitted at a tighter gauge, which is what holds the hem where it should sit. It stretches at the waist and recovers rather than bagging at the seat. Wear it with something fitted on top; the length needs a counterweight. Wash cool and dry flat.

Most of our pieces are cut easy-fit rather than close-fitting, so the usual advice to size up doesn't apply here. If your measurements fall between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Swimwear is the exception — it's cut closer to the body, so for swimwear only, take the larger size.

Shoes

Shoe sizing varies by style. Most of our shoes show a US and EU pair — for example US 8 / EU 40. Some styles show a single number instead. If you're between sizes or unsure which system a style uses, email contact@thealif.com before ordering and we'll confirm.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed.
Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
Hips — the fullest part, roughly 20cm (8") below the waist.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing.
